The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) working with the National Centre for Independent Living and the Local Government Association, has revised a joint protocol to support development of ULOs and support services.
The protocol focuses on how ULOs can add value to direct payment support services which are a means to independent living.
It also encourages local authorities to create a level playing field so that ULOs can compete unhindered for contracts to run direct payment support services.
