Free follow up event - Assistive technology and falls, a user led approach
Organised by IEWM, this half day event adds to last year’s successful conference, held to disseminate findings from a regional project on telecare and falls detectors.
The programme includes a project update and information on opportunities to get involved in the next phase, a review of your own goals, and examples of good practice around the region.

Becoming the change we want to see – new designs for local government
IEWM is holding its fringe event alongside the
LGA’s annual conference, on Wednesday 27 June 2012, 6pm to 8pm, at the Hyatt
Regency in Birmingham; to showcase the West Midlands approaches to transforming
local government.

International Telecare and Telehealth Conference 2012
This year’s event will take place from 12 to 14 November at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel. Health and social care issues to be addressed include:
- the DH programme 3millionlives, the number of people who could benefit from telehealth/care service
- transforming services to meet the demands or an ageing population
- coping with major budget cuts
- making a business case using evidenced based research
