Online contact tool to be extended

Staffordshire’s online tool, Patchwork, which helps staff working with families find the contact details of people working in other organisations, is set to go county wide following a trial by Lichfield District Council.

Patchwork helps council employees track down workers in other bodies including health, social care and the police.

The purpose is to aid safeguarding and early intervention, by sharing information simply, quickly and efficiently.

The tool has proved to be effective and was recently shortlisted in the Guardian Award for Innovation in Frontline Services.
